Power converter installation in Seacraft scooter
Dedicated E/O power output (6.0–12 V) with five selectable power levels and a 150 W maximum. Waterproof hermetic charging port and available twin or single E/O adapters. Installation performed by Seacraft factory or authorized service; compatible with FUTURE and GHOST (2020) units with S/N > 128.
Seacraft E/O Power Converter
The Seacraft power converter provides a dedicated E/O (electrical/optical) output for powering personal heating systems, 12 V lighting, and other external 6–12 V devices directly from the DPV battery. The output is fully controlled and monitored from the Seacraft display and dedicated software.
Key features
- Five selectable power levels corresponding to approximate voltage/heat settings: 20% (6.0 V), 40% (7.5 V), 60% (9.4 V), 80% (10.7 V), and 100% (12 V).
- Maximum allowed output power: 150 W.
- Compatible with most 11.1 V and 14.4 V light heads when using the 12 V output.
- Hermetic charging-port connector: waterproof up to 11 bar (100 m) without the charging cap; when the E/O cord adapter is connected, it is waterproof to greater depths (adapter-rated >300 m).
- Available E/O adapters: twin (supports two simultaneous loads, e.g., heating + lighting) and single (supports one load). Custom cable solutions can be prepared on request.
Operation and monitoring
- To open the power outlet menu: in gear 0, hold both triggers for 3 seconds. Use the Seacraft piezo gear buttons to select a power level or set the outlet to OFF.
- A short press on any button returns to the normal driving screen so you can operate the DPV while the E/O device is powered.
- To view outlet monitoring information (set voltage, power draw, remaining battery percentage, and calculated remaining run time), short-press both triggers from any gear to open the monitoring screen.
Compatibility and installation
- The power outlet requires an internal power converter installed in the scooter's electronic chamber. Installation is performed only at the Seacraft factory or by authorized service centers.
- Compatible models: Seacraft FUTURE and GHOST (model year 2020) with serial numbers higher than #128. These units have electronic boards designed to accept the E/O outlet.
- For new scooter orders, request factory installation from your dealer (additional surcharge applies). For upgrades, verify your scooter S/N is greater than 128 and contact Seacraft or your dealer.
- Upgrading to the hermetic charging port requires a compatible charging-port cap (original cap with a prepared hole) or modification/replacement of the existing cap. Upgrades also require the appropriate charger connector and a charger to be delivered with the DPV.
Notes
Do not exceed the 150 W output limit. Installation and any required modifications must be performed by authorized personnel to maintain watertight integrity and safe operation.
