Razor BAT Wing (Buoyancy And Trim)

The BAT Wing delivers a low-profile, redundant side-mount buoyancy system designed to attach to the Razor harness. It is secured with two button-head bolts and the mounting position is adjustable to fit different diver sizes.

Construction

  • Three-layer construction: two outer layers of abrasion-resistant 1000 denier ballistic nylon with a heavy-gauge polyurethane bladder sandwiched between.
  • Ultrasonically welded seams, finished with edging tape, and heavy-duty reinforced grommet attachment points.

Performance & Features

  • Primary wing: 45 lbs lift; fitted with a DSS low-profile manual dump/OPV valve and a standard power inflator. Can be inflated by power inflator or orally.
  • Redundant wing: 45 lbs lift; fitted with an oral inflator.
  • Primary and backup wings are fully independent to prevent accidental inflation of the backup wing.
  • Fittings for the dump valve and corrugated hose/power inflator are identical and can be swapped left or right per diver preference.
  • Can be configured with the primary wing outside and backup inside, or reversed according to diver preference.

Design Benefits

The BAT Wing is positioned between the shoulder blades and hips with the majority of buoyancy concentrated at the lumbar arch. This low-profile placement reduces drag and entanglement risk, maintains full access to harness attachment points, and provides a stable platform for optimizing trim and buoyancy control. The wing expands as needed under load without restricting the harness and remains compact when not fully inflated.
